THE Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Mr Robert Manumba, who is admitted to the Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam is said to be responding well to treatment.
A short statement released in the city on Tuesday by the Aga Khan Hospital management noted that when admitted, Mr Manumba's malaria had affected his body organs, and treatment efforts are going on well.
The hospital has however cautioned the media against publishing misleading information or issuing wrong information of a patient. "We kindly ask your cooperation on this matter.
Reports on Mr Manumba's health status will be issued everyday at 2.00pm at the Aga Khan hospital through the hospital's spokesperson," the statement read in part.
Several high level government officials have visited Mr Manumba, including President Jakaya Kikwete and First Lady Mama Salma Kikwete. Others are the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Mr Saidi Meck Sadick, Minister for Home Affairs Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi and his Deputy Pereira Silima.
