Angola: Higher Education Ministry Wants Qualified Staff

Luanda — The Ministry of Higher Education is committed to the staff training capable to respond to the future challenges, said the secretary of the sector for innovation Maria Augusta Martins.

The official expressed this Monday to the press after the meeting the board of directors of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology held with teachers and management of public and private faculties of the country.

Maria Martins said that the sector has a programme of staff training for 2013-2020.

According to the official, the programme will integrate a tool for short-term intervention, which is the Action Programme for 2013-2014, with a self-structure and a pragmatic nature.

She explained that the programme initially, will review and update the general framework of human resources of the country for 2020.

The second phase will respond to training needs identified in the National Strategy for Staff Training (ENFQ) structured in programmes of fundamental action.
