Nigeria: The Late Hajiya Jabbo Dasuki Buried in Kaduna Amid Tributes

The youngest child of late Hajiya Gwaggo Jabbo Dasuki, wife of former Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki, yesterday described the death of his mother as a biggest tragedy that could ever befall him.

Alhaji Aliyu Dasuki, who spoke to LEADERSHIP at his father's residence in Kaduna, however said, "It was her time to go, and that's what everyone must taste."

Aliyu decribed his mother as the best mother anyone would ever wish to have.

"Gwaggo was nice to all, very honest, strict and simple mother you can imagine. I will really miss her," he said.

Meanwhile, the remains of the late Hajiya Dasuki was buried at Unguwar Sarki burial ground, Kaduna, just as dignitaries from all over the country are visiting the residence of the 18th Sultan to commiserate with the deceased's family.

Her remains were buried around 11 am yesterday in the presence of her husband.
