Nigeria: DStv Basketball League - Markmentors Unveils Squad

A new season traditionally brings renewed hope and in some instances new excitement as the newly registered basketball club, Markmentors has unveiled 15 new signings for the 2012/2013 DSTV Nigeria Basketball League (DBL) season which will kickoff next month, February 23.

Unveiling the players after the official signing ceremony in Abuja at the weekend, proprietor of Markmentors Basketball Club, Senator David Mark, represented by Audu Mark said Markmentors basketball has come to stay in the DSTV Nigeria Basketball League and would set precedence on how basketball should be run in the country.

He said the team's target is to win the 2012/2013 DSTV Nigeria Basketball League on their debut season. "Today's event is very fantastic because it has never happened in the history of Nigerian basketball league. I want to assure you that Markmentors basketball team has come to stay and we want to set precedence of how to run basketball professionally and behave like other well developed teams in the world".

"The players we have signed for 2012/2013 league season are some of the great basketball players in the country and our target is to win the league at the end of the season," he said.
