Nigeria: Bomb Scare Shuts Banks in Kano

There was pandemonium in Kano on Monday when an Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) was discovered near a new generation bank. The discovery prompted banks in the city to stop their operations.

It was learnt that all the banks around the area situated along Murtala Mohammed way, Kano hurriedly shutdown their operations.

"Information reached the Command through a Good Samaritan that a suspected object was seen abandoned in a black nylon by road side close to one of the new generation Banks along Murtala Mohammed Way, Kano. Immediately Anti Bomb Disposal Unit were mobilized and secured the whole area after confirming the object to be a bomb," explained the state police command.
