Angola: National Team Defender Zwela Wants to Play in Angola

Johannesburg — The defender Zwela, who is joining national soccer team at the 29th edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN2013), underway in South Africa, said that he intends to resume his performance in Angola after 11 years representing European clubs.

The athlete of Apoel Nicosia of Cyprus has expressed his intention to Angop in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He said that it was time to return to the country and play for the first time in the National Championship (Girabola).

"I live in Europe for 25 years and playing professionally there for 11 years, I never played in Angola, my country, and I think the time has come to do so, he said.

According to the 29-year player, he does not want to end his career without playing for an Angolan club, expressing desire to be near his family that resides in Luanda.
