Nigeria: Police Diffuse Explosive Device in Kano, Says PPRO

The Kano State Police Command on Monday said it disposed of an explosive device planted on the Murtala Muhammed Way in Kano.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Magaji Majiya, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the device was discovered around 1:15 p.m. on Monday.

The PRO said that the Anti bomb Unit of the command successfully diffused the explosive which was suspected to have been planted in the early hours of the day.

The bomb was planted close to a bank.

The command stated that normalcy had since returned to the area, with people carrying out their normal daily activities.
