Nigeria: Leadway Staff Bags American Society of Actuaries Award

Leadway Assurance has announced the elevation of Mr. Kingsley Miller to the status of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries USA.

According to a statement from Leadway, Mr. Miller is an executive within the Actuarial Services Department of Leadway Assurance and was awarded the Fellowship in December 2012, after gaining the associate status in 2011.

He is the first Nigerian to have so qualified without having to leave the country for such studies abroad, despite the challenging environment.

Kingsley Miller is a Jos native, a bright young Nigerians under 40 years of age. He holds a first degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos as well as the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

He started his career in the risk management department of the former Intercontinental Bank (now Access Bank) and joined the Actuarial Services department of Leadway Assurance in 2009.
