Nigeria: Gombe, Jos PPMC Depots for Re-Commissioning - NNPC

Pipeline and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) depots in Gombe and Jos will soon be re-commissioned, the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Engr. Andrew Yakubu, has said.

Yakubu said this weekend before the re-commissioning of the Benin depot, saying the government was determined to revitalize the nation's petroleum products depots especially Gombe and Jos depots.

"We have re-commissioned Mosimi, Aba and now Benin. But the good news is that we are not going to stop here, very soon we shall be in Gombe, Jos and other depots. In fact, we are not going to stop until our 21 depots become fully operational," he said.

Declaring open the depot the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, noted that the revamping of the Benin depot was part of government's practical measures to sanitize the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry.

Speaking at the event, Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole said with the re-activation of the depot, the Federal Government has demonstrated its resolve to sustain the ongoing reforms in the oil and gas industry.
