Awka — TWO thousand secondary school students from both the public and private schools in Anambra State yesterday inundated Governor Peter Obi with problems in their schools, even as the governor pledged to continue the ongoing massive renovation of schools by the state government.
The town hall meeting, the fifth by Obi's administration, provided the pupils the opportunity to ask the governor any question, including criticizing him publicly on any issue without being gagged.
As the questions came, the governor and other government functionaries, including officials of the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, and the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, observed that despite the huge investments in the schools so far, there were still more to be done.
