Nigeria: ILO to Publish Report On Global Employment

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) is to launch its annual report 'Global Employment Trends 2013' today. The report is a yearly publication of the Employment Trends unit of the ILO Employment Sector.

Five years after the outbreak of the global financial crisis, the study offers the latest global and regional information and projections on several indicators of the labour market, including employment, unemployment, working poverty and vulnerable employment.

It also presents a number of policy considerations in light of the new challenges facing policy makers in the coming year.

A statement from the international agency said electronic copies of the report, executive summary and some associated media material will be made available to journalists upon request. It further noted that the report would be launched in Geneva, Switzerland.
