Tunisia: Traders From Ben Guerdane Block Ras Jedir Border Crossing
21 January 2013
Ben Guerdane — A group of traders from the city of Ben Guerdane, Monday afternoon, blocked passenger and commercial traffic at the border crossing with Libya in both directions.
This protest is in reaction to the decision of the Libyan side to bar Tunisians from moving goods across the border, an activity which "represents their major source of income," protesters told TAP correspondent in the region.
