Gambia: Loubna Farage Is New Bar Association President

Ms Loubna Farage has been elected as the new President of the Gambia Bar Association, replacing Sheriff Tambedou, the Gambia Bar Association has recently announced.

This, according to a media dispatch from the Gambia Bar Association, followed an Annual General Meeting held on 16th January 2013.

Report stated that the executive body of the Bar Association has stepped down upon the expiry of its term in office and a new body was elected.

The new executive of the Gambia Bar Association for the term January 2013 to December 2015, comprised the following: Ms Loubna Farage as President; Mr Salieu Taal as Vice- President; Abdoulie Sisohor as Treasurer; Mr Abdul Aziz Bensouda as Secretary; Mr Ebrima Jah as Assistant Secretary; Mrs Sagarr Jahateh as Social Secretary; Ms Yassin Senghore as member; Mr Musa Batchilly as member; and Mr Sheriff Tambedou as member.
