Egypt: Sisi: We Are Keen to Upgrade Armed Forces Combat Capabilities

General Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense and Military Production said the general command of the Armed Forces is keen to upgrade combat capabilities of all Armed Forces formations and units so that they may undertake their assignments.

He railed the great role of the Armed Forces during the past period, referring to distinctive performance of the air defense force and their permanent preparedness to defend Egypt's airspace against any acts of belligerency.

He said commanders and officers should understand their assignments and responsibilities within the framework of the Armed Forces urging them to benefit from former commanders.

The meeting was attended by It General Sedqi Sobhy the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and a number of the high ranking officers of the Armed Forces.
