Kenya: TNA Has Submiited Its Final List to IEBC

TNA party has submitted its final list of candidates nominated during the party's primaries to the IEBC. The list contains names of candidates who will carry TNA's flags in various seats during the March 4 general election.

Secretary General Onyango Oloo told a media briefing yesterday the party had resolved all disputes arising from the nominations and submitted the list as required by law.

Oloo said some of the disputes had been overturned while other had been addressed. TNA received a total of 170 complaints arising from the nominations conducted on Friday and the verdict was relayed to the candidates yesterday morning.

IEBC has has until tomorrow to resolve all disputes arising from the primaries that were not resolved by the parties' internal dispute resolution mechanism.

The Commission will be assisted by the Political parties Dispute Tribunal. Once they have exhausted internal party mechanisms, dissatisfied aspirants can file their objections with either the tribunal or IEBC.

"We have settled all the disputes arising from the our party nominations and forwarded the list of successful candidates to IEBC," Oloo told the Media at Laico Regency in Nairobi yesterday.
