Kenya: Raila Warned Over Elections

SIAYA County Leadership and Development Forum (SCLDF) has expressed fear that the heavily flawed ODM nominations may affect Prime Minister Raila Odinga's presidential bid.

They said if Raila fails to have those duly elected issued with nomination certificates, ODM will face a major rebellion in Luo Nyanza region.

Led by SCLDF Secretary General Nick Ogolla, they said the Siaya County governor's poll results was skewed in favour of one candidate who had been overwhelmingly defeated at the ballot.

"Raila's presidential prospect is in a limbo since dissatisfied ODM supporters are gearing up for defection and boycott him," said Ogolla.

Ogollo, who addressed news reporters in Siaya town, claimed William Oduol won the nomination with 99,992 votes, as Finance assistant minister Oburu Oginga trailed with 51,478 votes.
