Kenya: Ruto Ally Bags TNA Ticket

AN ally of Jubilee Coalition running-mate William Ruto has been nominated for the Nyaribari Chache seat contest on a TNA ticket. Zaheer Jhanda, a URP official, will be the coalition's candidate after Nyamira and Kisii counties were zoned as TNA area.

"I have the TNA ticket and I'm ready to face off with my rivals," Jhanda said. The politician said he would wrestle the seat from veteran politicians, including immediate former MP Robert Monda of NARC, ODM's Chris Bichage and James Kenani of Ford People.

"I enjoy support from youth and I'm confident I will make it. I will give renowned politicians in the constituency a run for their money," said Jhanda. He was received by youth in Kisii town yesterday who walked in the streets of the town to celebrate his nomination.
