Kenya: Climate Change Innovation Agency Launched

An organisation to promote businesses and the public sector innovations to tackle negative effects of climate change has been launched.

The East Africa Climate Innovation Network has been developed under the guidance of the World Bank's infoDev climate technology program and African Centre for Technology studies.

The network plans to work with entrepreneurs especially those running SMEs to achieve green business models. It will analyse existing technological innovations for mitigating climate change with a view to improving their efficiency.
