Kenya: ODM Aspirant Invites Rivals

ODM aspirants in Kakamega County who have lost elective posts in the concluded party primaries have been asked to support winners ahead of the March 4 General election.

Paul Posho, who won the ODM ticket for the Matungu parliamentary seat, said unity was key if the party is to form government.

"In order to succeed President Kibaki, we need to work as a team behind our presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga. If we get divided because of nominations, other people will take advantage and beat us," Posho said.

He invited outgoing Matungu MP David Were whom he beat at the primaries to join his camp "so that he can help me and ODM in clinching victory".
