Kenya: Gatundu Man Fined Sh10,00 for Disrupting Party Nominations

A Gatundu court yesterday fined a man who attempted to disrupt last Friday's TNA nominations Sh10,000. Paul Njau admitted to jumping a voters' queue at the Kiganjo Catholic Church and defying police orders to stop.

Njau allegedly tried to incite other voters into joining him in jumping the queue. Meanwhile, 10 people were yesterday fined Sh5,000 each by a Gatundu court for being drunk and disorderly.

The accussed, who were arrested in various trading centres in Gatundu South, admitted to being drunk and breaching peace. They will serve a 14-day jail sentence in default.
