Eritrea: Scavenging Campaign Underway Targeting Waste Cars

Asmara — The Administration of the Public Transport Technique Center indicated that it is carrying out a scavenging campaign targeting waste cars and iron materials in Asmara city in line with the ongoing joint endeavors of promoting environmental health.

Pointing out that the waste cars have also been causing transportation problem, Maj. Zemihret Ogbai, head of technique in the office, explained that more than 163 tracks have transported such materials from the city in collaboration with stakeholders. Accordingly, the process has covered the majority of the city's Administrative areas such as Bar-Jima, Geza-Banda, Arbaete-Asmera, Akria and Tsetserat, and would continue in Mai-Temenai, Tiravolo and Gejeret areas.
