Eritrea: Potable Water Supply Facility Built

Mendefera — A Potable water supply facility has been put in place in Adi-Hanso Administrative area. Stating that they used to walk for two hours to fetch water, the inhabitants expressed satisfaction with the new facility.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Lemlem Tewolde, Ms. Yirgalem Mezengi'e and Kisanet Yemane explained that they are in a position to save time and energy in line with the availability of such facility, and that students are enjoying ample time for study.

Mr. Ahmed Mohammed, Administrator of Emni-Haili sub-zone, indicated that 5 villages have become beneficiaries of potable water supply on the basis of 6 solar energy-powered distribution stations. He also disclosed that the facility's capacity would be expanded shortly.
