Mauritania: Day Nine Action Moves Mauritania Table

T. Zeina inflicted a heavy 4-0 defeat on ASC Assaba on Day 9 of the Mauritanian Football League. The win lifted the reigning champions out of the depths of the table to sixth place with 12 points.

Thanks to a double from Wilfried Yessoh, FC Nouadhibou shut out ASC Trarza to reach second place on the table. In other Day nine action, ASAC Concorde fell to third place after a draw against ASC Armée. For Armée, the 1-1 tie hauled them from the bottom.

ASC Ksar, who lead the league with 23 points, beat ASC Police 2-0.

CF Cansado rallied after last week's defeat by beating ASC Garde 1-0. The win gave the Miners a total of 16 points and kept them in touch with the leaders.

ASC Tidjikja also shut out Imraguens 4-0. The win pointed to a revival for Tidjikja, who are now gunning for a top position after a tough start to the season.

Zem Zem and ASAC Kedia, meanwhile, are still languishing at the bottom of the table after their nil draw.
