Riyadh — "Mobilising funds is by no means a problem for Tunisia, but there are difficulties to find serious, efficient and achievable projects," Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki said on Tuesday.
Speaking to national journalists escorting him in his visit to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Arab Economic and Social Summit, President Marzouki called on the country's inland regions to suggest "well-tailored and serious" projects, expressing commitment to find necessary funds for them.
President Marzouki expressed satisfaction at the Arab countries' broad support for Tunisia's bid to host the 4th Arab Economic and Social Summit in 2015.
He also said that the Summit had discussed ways to strengthen Arab joint action in the economic fields, including the creation of an Arab free trade area and connecting Arab countries to electric, railway and highway networks.
