Pretoria — Bafana Bafana have been dealt a serious blow ahead of their crucial second group stage match of the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) against Angola, with midfielders Kagisho Dikgacoi and Lerato Chabangu ruled out of the game due to injury.
Chabangu will sit the game out due to a painful groin, while Dikgacoi is suffering from a recurring knee injury he sustained during the international friendly match against Algeria at Orlando Stadium on 12 January.
Dikgacoi started the match against Cape Verde in the opening clash of Afcon last Saturday, while Chabangu came on as a second half substitute.
It is still not clear whether the duo will be available for the final group stage match against Morocco at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday.
Bafana will face the Palancas Negras (Sable Antelopes) of Angola at 5pm at Moses Mabhida, while the tournament's new comers, Cape Verde, will play Morocco at the same venue at 8pm.
