Luanda — Trade minister Rosa Pacavira inaugurated on Tuesday, in Luanda, three community kitchens in Katinton ward, Maianga district, to benefit low income people, in the ambit of the Fight Against Poverty Programme.
On the occasion, the minister said that the opening of these facilities will also help many women who are involved in informal activities of selling food at open-air.
"The kitchen will sell hot meals at low prices with acceptable sanitary and hygienic conditions, which have been regularised by the trade directorate (...)", explained the minister.
One of the beneficiaries, Catarina da Costa Simões, also known as Mamã Kuiba, speaking on behalf of her colleagues commended the efforts of the Executive in the implementation of projects that are aimed at bringing about well-being to the population.
ANGOP learnt that this project has already provided employment to 36 people.
