Angola: Carnival Prizes Need Improving - Culture Official

Kuito — The co-ordinator of the management commission for the culture department of Bié Province, Francisco Xavier, on Tuesday in Kuito City admitted that there is a need to improve the prizes awarded at the provincial carnival competition.

Speaking to ANGOP, the official stressed that for the materialisation of this goal a commission has been set up to analyse this issue with the provincial government.

He informed that last week several members of carnival groups in this region were upgraded by the provincial culture department, aimed at helping them to better prepare their carnival groups for the municipal and provincial parades, scheduled to start on February 07.
