The trial of Genocide suspected Leon Mugesera was today postponed until Jan.28 after the defendant claimed sickness.

Appearing before the Special Chamber of the High Court, Mugesera who spoke with a hoarse voice said he wanted to see his doctor.

"I was supposed to see a doctor yesterday but my appointment was cancelled because he was not in town, today I woke up with a hoarse voice yet I need to be in proper health to proceed with my trial," he said.

His lawyer, Felix Rudakemwa asked the court to adjourn the trial indefinitely until his client recovers.
