Eritrea: Construction of Shopping Area in Tesenei City Finalized

Asmara — The construction of a shopping area in Tesenei city, around Sug-Ashaebi Square, which was implemented by Homib Construction Company, has been finalized.

Mr. Kidane Woldu, General Manager of the company, explained that the building constructed in such a way that suits the shopping norm of the area could accommodate 34 businesses. Moreover, he indicated that 50% of the implementation of a construction project in the city has been accomplished, besides the construction of 120 houses and a hall in Gerset village.

Accordingly, the company has also implemented a school project in Haikota sub-zone, while the construction of office accommodations for EriTel and Gemel Transport Company is underway. Furthermore, it has drafted a blueprint for a total of 2,000 residential complexes due to be constructed in the rural areas of Tesenei, Haikota and Goluj sub-zones. A similar shopping spot would also be built in Tesenei.
