Kenya: Leaders' Peace Appeal to Voters

SOME Karachuonyo leaders are engaging the youth in peace workshops after demonstrations that rocked the area over the release ODM nomination results.

Led by Jack Nduri, the leaders are persuading the youth to respect the elections code of conduct and avoid violence. Nduri, a former ODM official in Karachuonyo, said the party had legal mechanisms of sorting out disputes.

Addressing a youth training workshop sponsored by Rachuonyo Integrated Relief and Development Project, Nduri said young people should not be used by politiciand to cause chaos.
