Kenya Electoral Commission Schedules Hearings On Primaries

Kenya's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has briefly adjourned hearings for nomination disputes arising from the recently concluded political party primaries, Kenya's The Standard reported Wednesday (January 23rd).

The hearings are scheduled to resume Thursday in Nairobi's Milimani courts, with more than 100 complaints scheduled to be addressed.

Petitioners from the Wiper party, United Democratic Forum, United Republican Party, Narc, Kanu, Federal Party of Kenya, Ford Kenya, New Ford Kenya, Party of Independent Candidates of Kenya and Kenya National Congress were originally expected to appear on Wednesday, while petitioners from The National Alliance and the Orange Democratic Movement were scheduled to give testimony on Thursday.
