Namibia: Trial Date Set for Shotgun Killer

Windhoek — The trial of 43-year-old Gerhard Komeya, accused of murdering his wife with a shotgun blast in September 2011, has been set for July 15 to 26 this year before Judge Nate Ndauendapo.

During his pre-trial conference yesterday, Komeya, who is now represented by defence counsel Mese Tjituri was informed of this new development in his trial. Deputy Prosecutor General Antonia Verhoef indicated to the court that the State is ready to proceed and that the defence has indicated that it was ready as well.
