Ghana: Police Deny Sale of Recruitment Form

The Police Administration says it has noted with concern the rumours making the rounds that the Police Recruitment Forms are out on sale.

"The Service wishes to state that it has not opened recruitment into the Service for year 2013 as is being rumoured. The rumours are, therefore, false and should be disregarded. Members of the public are hereby advised to be vigilant and cautious of those who carry such information and even offer to assist them procure the forms to enter the Service," a statement signed by Mr. Cephas Arthur said.

"We wish to remind the public that when the forms are ready, we would, as usual, advertise them in the media for their information. Meanwhile, we want to use this opportunity to entreat individuals to desist from peddling such falsehood and also carrying themselves as middlemen and women in the recruitment of people into the Service. Anyone caught in this fraudulent act would be arrested and processed for Court."

"Persons with information on such fraudsters should report to the nearest Police Station or call the Police on MTN and Vodafone Short code 18555 or 191 on all networks."
