Uganda: Umeme Share Price Bounces Back Sh300

Umeme share price has remained volatile touching the sh300 mark, according to the official trading figures released by the Uganda Securities Exchange on Jan. 23.

The company's share price was recently recorded at the same mark but dropped to sh275. The figures indicate that the company traded over 5mn shares recording over sh1.7 tn in turnover.

Stanbic bank's share price remained flat at sh25. The bank traded 1, 331, 203 shares raising sh33mn in turnover. DFCU's counter traded 27, 014 shares at sh1, 000 per share, recording sh27mn in turnover.

Uganda Clays traded 731, 200 shares at sh 35 per share, recording sh25mn in turnover.

Several counters had offers and bids recorded on their counters but others did not record any trading activity.

The market recorded about sh1.8tn in turnover from 7, 797 952 traded shares.
