The Industrial Court has dismissed a case seeking to stop implementation of new NHIF rates.

NHIF is now free to effect the new rates after an application challenging them was dismissed by the industrial court.

The court dismissed the application by workers union KUDHEIHA on the grounds that the issue had already been dealt with. The rates will see highest paid workers pay 2000 shillings up from 320 shillings and the lowest paid pay 150 shillings from 30 shillings.
