Nigeria: We're Committed to Review of 1999 Constitution - Rep

A member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Frank Enekorogha, has said that the House was committed to the review of the 1999 Constitution to achieve an all embracing and people oriented constitution.

Enekorogha, who represents Burutu Federal constituency, Delta State at the National Assembly, told newsmen, that the peoples' public session on the review of the 1999 Constitution which held across the 360 federal constituencies provided Nigerians of all strata the opportunity to make inputs.

He assured the people of Burutu that their participation at the public session will not be wished away but will be reflected when the House kick-starts the process, adding that his priority in the House remained quality and effective representation of the people of Burutu federal constituency. He assured that the area will continue to witness federal presence.

Enekorogha noted that during the flood that ravaged Delta State last year, he provided relief materials and other items to victims to cushion the effect, adding that he will embark on empowerment programmes for the people to enhance their economic wellbeing.
