Angola: National Plan for Staff Training to Integrate 250 000 Students

Luanda — The National Plan for Staff Training, running from 2013 to 2020, foresees the integration of 250,000 students of technical and vocational education, a figure equivalent to two times more compared to the previous years.

The information was released by the Secretary of State for Technical Education and Vocational Training, Narciso Damasio, who admitted an increase in the number of graduates in this system to 50,000 annually.

He explained that this will involve the recruitment of more than 3, 400 teachers.

Therefore, he said, the education will have 7,100 teachers.

"These are goals to be achieved by 2015, which means that in five years some 29,000 young people are expected to join the system," he said.

The National Staff Plan is a bill created by the Angolan Government tasked with supporting the qualitative development of human potential in Angola.
