Nigeria: Niger PDP Tackles Opposition for Criticising Gov Aliyu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that the criticism of Governor Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu-led PDP Government by the opposition parties in the state was out of alleged indolence and frustration.

A release by the party's publicity secretary, Hassan Mohammed Saba, yesterday in Minna, described the allegation of impropriety in key projects initiated by the current administration as idle-talk that can only emanate from a warped mind.

Saba said that time has come for the Congress for Progress Change(CPC),Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) to be told to their faces that the party would not sit back and watch them rubbish Dr Aliyu PDP government.

He said the accusation of disregard for due process in the execution of its projects has been severally addressed by both Governor Aliyu's media handlers and the Niger State House of Assembly which threw out a similar petition sometime last year and wondered why the same issues are being recycled.
