Nigeria has said it will increase her areas of collaboration with the International Bureau of Education to ensure national and regional development of the basic education sub-sector.
Minister of State for Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike and leader of Nigeria's delegation to the 62nd session of the council of the International Bureau of Education (IBE) in Geneva on Wednesday, said that the Federal Government would make financial contributions to the IBE to ensure that the group achieves her objectives. A statement by his spokesman, Simeon Nwakaudu, said.
Nigeria's permanent delegate to UNESCO, Mrs. Mariam Katagum, said the nation's investments in the education sector have been recognised by international development partners.
