Nigeria: Tribunal Throws Out Airhiavbere's Petition

Benin — Edo state election petitions tribunal has struck out the petition filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in the July governorship election, Major General Charles Airhiavbere challenging the pronouncement of Gov. Adams Oshiomhole as winner of the election.

Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Muazu Pindiga, said that the petition was bereft and devoid of any substance and ought to be dismissed.
