Nigeria: Petition - 'Muazu's Defense Too Weak'

A group, the National League of Patriots (NLP), has described the response of former governor of Bauchi State, Ahmed Adamu Mu'azu to a petition before the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) asking him to appear before the anti-graft agency as too weak and one that does not address salient issues raised in the petition.

The group at a briefing in Abuja, by its leader Lankey Adams Moor, said the press conference held by the personal assistant to the former governor, Kabiru Ilelah, on the issue, rather than inform the public on when the former governor would make the appearance tried on behalf of Mu'azu, to deny receiving any invitation from the anti graft agency.
