Three medical teams and 1950 ambulances are ready for deployment on Friday in preparation for the January uprising anniversary demonstrations, head of the Egyptian Ambulance Organization Mohamed Sultan said on Thursday.

Two central rapid deployment teams as well as another team for crisis management are ready in preparation for the demonstrations, Sultan told the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

Preparations included putting al-Qasr al-Aini Hospital, Cairo University Hospital, and Ain Shams University Hospital as well as hospitals in other governorates on standby.

Blood banks will also provide blood bags if needed, Sultan added.
