Angola: Social Welfare Minister Hands Over 14 Motorcycles to Disabled People

Menongue — Angolan minister of Social Welfare, João Baptista Kussumua, Thursday delivered 14 three-wheeled motorcycles to people with disabilities, under the implementation of the Executive Programme on Work and Income generation, underway in the country.

The delivery ceremony that took place at Makueva, surroundings of Menongue city, south-east Kuando Kubango province was witnessed by the deputy provincial governor for Political and Social sector, Pedro Camelo.

The local director of Social Welfare, Modesta Ngueve, officials of Minars and beneficiaries of the project also attended the ceremony.

For better implementation of the programme, the beneficiaries will be integrated into three cooperatives.

The minister João Baptista Kussumua underlined that the action is intended to grant more dignity to the disabled people so that they do not depend any more on the government.
