Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandeel and the ministerial delegation accompanying him held talks on Thursday 24/01/2013 on the sidelines of Davos international economic forum.
The talks were aimed to highlight Egypt's view in several issues in the region and developments in Egypt in economic and political terms.
Alaa el-Haddad, the Cabinet Spokesman said that Qandeel met with Head of the IMF Christine Lagarde for the Egyptian economy.
The spokesman added that it has been agreed open dispatching an IMF delegation to Egypt to resume negotiations and finalize procedures of a loan to be extended to Egypt.
On the sidelines of the forum, the PM also met with his Ethiopian counterpart Hai Lemarian Desalegn as both of them reviewed bilateral relations and chances of cooperation between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.
Qandeel also met with his Lebanese counterpart Najib Mikati as they discussed boosting bilateral relations, easing procedures of exporting goods to Lebanon and conditions of Egyptian workers there.
