Tunisia: NCA to Continue Discussion On Chapter of Constitutional Authorities Next Monday

Bardo — The National Constituent Assembly (NCA) will carry on in a plenary session Monday the discussion on the chapter related to the constitutional authorities in the draft constitution, NCA statement indicated on Friday.

During a plenary session last Wednesday, the Commission's report of the constitutional authorities was read out.

The report notably underlines that it was agreed to register the following authorities in the Constitution: the Electoral Authority, the Human Rights Authority, the Media Regulatory Authority, the Authority of Governance and Fight Against Corruption, the Sustainable Development Authority and the Authority of the Future Generations' Rights.

According to the same report, it was also agreed to submit in the plenary session for examination the proposal to register in the constitution the Higher Islamic Council, the Higher Council of Education, Training and Scientific Research, the Higher Authority of Tunisian Expatriates and the Higher Authority of Iftâ.
