Ghana: Wa Central Welcomes Bede Ziedeng

Wa — Mr. Khalid A Rahman, the Wa Central Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to the residents to support the new Regional Minister-Designate Mr. Bede A Ziedeng for the development of the region.

The President named the former General Secretary of the defunct Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Mr Bede A. Ziedeng as Regional Minister-designate for the Upper West Region last Tuesday.

According to Rahman, the appointment of Mr. Ziedeng has shown that the President is on top of issues and that Mr. Ziedeng is a man of substance well versed for his present calling.

Mr. Ziedeng, was a former acting General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Deputy Regional Minister for the Upper West region for two consecutive terms, from 1992 to 2000, before he defected to the DFP.

Mr. Rahman urged the people of the region to collaborate with the Minister Designate, in pursuit of 'our common humanity'.

He further appealed to the Minister Designate, Mr. Ziedeng to focus on providing the region with more development projects to help bring the region to the limelight.

The Wa Central Constituency Secretary also congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for nominating Mr. Ziedeng to represent him in the Upper West Region to enhance the Better Ghana Agenda.

Mr. Rahman, prayed to God for wisdom, patience and guidance for President Mahama to work and promote peace, unity and happiness among Ghanaians.
