Ghana: Agyemang-Badu Picks Man-of-the-Match

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was named the official Man-of-the-Match in Ghana's 1-0 win over Mali on Thursday.

The Udinese midfielder put in a solid display to help the Black Stars clinch their first win at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Agyemang-Badu came close to opening the scoring with a glancing header earlier on in the first half but he was unlucky to see his effort come off the crossbar. He went on to take other shots at goal and put in vital tackles when needed throughout the game.

His work rate was top notch - which ultimately caught the eye of officials who decided to reward his good works with the prestigious accolade.

The 22-year-old has already made history in the tournament being hosted in South Africa by scoring the tournament's opening goal in the 2-2 draw with DR Congo.
