Kenya: Glamorous Opening Night for 'The Jury' At Phoenix Player's

Theatre lovers had the time of their lives last Friday evening at the  Phoenix Players at the Professional centre in Nairobi. They were  presented with The Jury, a play adapted from Twelve Angry men by American playwright, Reginald Rose.

In  the play, 12 jurors must decide whether a boy accused of murdering his  father is guilty or innocent. Relying on overwhelming evidence, they are  all unanimous that the boy should face the gallows. But as the story  unfolds, seeds of doubt about the boy's guilt grow among the jurors.

The Jury was directed by Nick Njache and attended by US Embassy's Cultural Affairs Officer Raymond W. Stephens, entrepreneur Eva Muraya, UoN's Dr.Kithaka wa Mberia among others.

The play is running at the Phoenix Players for the next two weeks for those who might want to catch it.
