Egypt: Violent Clashes Between Protesters, Police in Alexandria

Violent clashes erupted on Friday noon between protesters and police forces in front of Alexandria's local municipality and the Alexandria Primary Court.

Security forces fired teargas at the demonstrators to safeguard the minicipality headquarters and the court which caused scores to suffer suffocation, Aswat Masriya correspondent reported.

Five people were injured in the clashes, three of them were transferred to Ras al-Tin General Hospital while the other two were taken another hospital, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria stated.
