Angola: Congress of Physicians Assumes Importance At Present

The State secretary for Health, Carlos Alberto Masseca, Friday in Luanda stressed the importance of the 8th International Congress of Physicians of Angola specially in the current time when the country outlines a strategy and plan for combat the priority diseases.

Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the event, going until Saturday, the official said that in the five-year period the physicians are preparing to move qualitatively in national health service.

He added that the objectives of the strategies are, specially, to expand the services with quality, safety and allow increase the level of the users.

To this purpose, added the official, the physicians as central agents of national health service can give their unique contribution.

"We also believe that we can initiate exchange programmes with doctors from the countries previously established link with Angola, whether for cultural, historical or political issues ," he said
